I just got my hands on an MSI RTX 2070 Super X Trio for gaming, but I'm facing a bit of a dilemma. My PSU is a CX600M, and it only has a 6-pin and an 8-pin port available. It seems like the 8-pin is actually the 4+4 for the CPU. I've heard that simply using a 6-pin to 16-pin (8+8) cable isn't safe, so I'm wondering if I can plug the 6-pin cable into the GPU and then use the 8-pin from the PSU for the other connection. Is it okay to combine both of these to power the GPU?

You really shouldn’t mix those cables. The CPU cable (the 4+4) is designed for different power needs and won’t fit on your GPU anyway. If your GPU requires an 8-pin and you only have a 6-pin, you might run the risk of underpowering it. If you're comfortable taking the risk, you could look into adapters, but only if you're sure your PSU can handle it. Ideally, getting the proper PSU cables is the safest bet.
