How to Connect Power LED Cables on My Motherboard?

Hey everyone! I've just wrapped up building my PC, but I'm stuck on connecting the power LED cables. My motherboard is a GIGABYTE B650 GAMING X AX V2, and my case is a 4000D Airflow. The manual wasn't very clear, and I can't quite tell where the "POWER LED +" and "POWER LED -" connectors go. The symbols on the motherboard are scratched off too. Can anyone help me figure out the correct alignment and placement for these connectors? They seem to come undone really easily, so I feel like I'm not putting them in the right spot! Thanks!

The "POWER LED +" and "POWER LED -" should be plugged into the same area where you connect the power switch pins on your motherboard. They let you know the PC is powered on. The cables might tend to separate, so you can use tape to keep them together. Just follow the manual’s front panel connection page, and if the LED doesn’t light up, try reversing their direction.

Would using a small piece of electrical tape work for that?

These connectors light up an LED on your case to indicate when your PC is turned on. They don’t affect the actual operation of your PC if they’re not connected. If you want them hooked up, check the pinout diagram in your motherboard's manual for the front panel header, and connect them accordingly.

Thanks for clarifying that!

These connectors go to the front panel header on your motherboard. Page 26 of your manual has the pinout for the front panel pretty clearly laid out. If you’re having trouble with the symbols being scratched, maybe just check visually where they fit snugly in relation to others like the power switch. Where exactly have you been trying to plug them in?

I was trying to plug them in the bottom right area with the power + and -.
