How to Fix Missing Refresh Rates in NVIDIA Control Panel?

I recently noticed that my NVIDIA Control Panel is only showing me resolutions like ULTRA HD, HD, and SD at 60Hz. Normally, I could select 165Hz and 144Hz options, but they seem to be missing now. I think this issue started after I accidentally bumped my cable. I have an Acer VG2409 monitor, and I'm not sure how to get those refresh rates back. Any troubleshooting tips?

It sounds like your Acer VG2409 monitor is stuck at 60Hz, likely due to a communication issue from moving the cable. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and hopefully restore the 144Hz refresh rate:

1. **Check and Reseat Cables**: Turn off your computer and monitor. Disconnect the cable, check for any damage or dust, and then reconnect it securely.
2. **NVIDIA Control Panel Adjustments**: Sometimes, the NVIDIA Control Panel displays a limited resolution list meant for TVs, capping at 60Hz. Open the panel and go to Display > Change Resolution. Look for the "PC" resolutions category and select your monitor's native resolution (like 1920 x 1080). Ensure the refresh rate dropdown is set to 144Hz.

Try this out and let me know if you can get your refresh rates back!

Thanks for the tips! I didn’t even think about the resolution categories. Just gave it a try and it worked! Can't believe I missed that.
