I'm having a really annoying problem with my desktop PC getting stuck in a boot loop after a recent Windows update. It started with a "Preparing Automatic Repair" message that just won't go away. I've attempted to boot in Safe Mode by pressing F8 repetitively, but that hasn't worked out for me. I've also removed any new hardware and disconnected all peripherals, but nothing seems to help. My setup includes an AMD Ryzen 5 processor and 16GB of RAM. I suspect the update might be the issue, but I'm worried about losing my data. Any advice or steps to get my system back up and running would be greatly appreciated!

Can you access WinRE? If so, look for the option to uninstall the latest update. There’s a guide you can follow [here](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/how-to-uninstall-a-windows-update-c77b8f9b-e4dc-4e9f-a803-fdec12e59fb0). Uninstalling the update might solve your boot loop issue.
F8 isn’t very reliable anymore for newer Windows versions. Try this instead: Turn on your PC and when the Windows logo appears, hold the power button to shut it off. On the next boot, you should see "Preparing Automatic Repair" followed by "Diagnosing your PC." Eventually, that will take you to the Advanced options screen. From there, go to Troubleshoot, then Advanced options, and select Startup Repair.
Honestly, Windows can be a pain sometimes... it’s all a bit trash when these updates mess things up like this.
Under advanced repair, you should find options to uninstall the last updates—there are actually two options for this. Give that a try too!
