So I've run into a weird problem with Windows 11. It suddenly thinks there are no audio devices connected, not even my onboard speakers. I also seem to be locked out of both Device Manager and the Services management console. Does anyone know what's going on and how to fix this?

Yeah, I'm in the same boat with frustrating access issues. Seems like certain functionalities were restricted for no clear reason. I have admin access, but I'm still running into trouble trying to open Device Manager or Services. Windows keeps returning '194 .msc not found' errors when I attempt to launch them from CMD or PowerShell. I feel like the policies are just haphazardly applied around here!

It sounds like a frustrating issue! If you're locked out of managing device settings, try reinstalling your audio drivers. If you can’t run the installer directly on your PC, download the driver on another computer, extract it to a USB drive, and then install it from there. If your system is heavily locked down, you might need someone with admin rights to help out though.
