I was downloading a huge file (112GB) using the OperaGX browser, but it got stuck at 100% for about 40 minutes. I grew impatient and decided to cancel the download. However, when I checked my storage later, I noticed that the 112GB was still being occupied. The file isn't showing up in my downloads folder, not even as a hidden file. I've looked everywhere, including temp and appdata folders, but I can't find it. Can anyone help me reclaim this space?

Just a thought—Windows sometimes shows space as occupied if it was reserved for something. Have you tried shutting it down and starting again?
Make sure you’ve enabled the option to view hidden files. Check in your Windows drive, go to Users, then your username, and find the AppData folder. In there, look for the Temp folder.
You might want to check out WizTree. It's a great tool that shows you the largest files and folders on your drive. I had a similar problem, and WizTree helped me track down where the file was hiding.
Thanks a ton! I installed WizTree and found the file—it was lurking in a cache folder belonging to Opera.
Nice! It's always great to find hidden files. That's the magic of WizTree!
Before anything, did you try rebooting your computer? Sometimes a simple restart can free up the space.
Yeah, I did reboot, but it didn’t help.
Yep, I did that already, but the space is still tied up.
