How to Get a Second Monitor Working with My Motherboard’s HDMI?

I'm trying to set up a dual monitor setup with my Intel Core i7-7700K processor, but I'm having trouble. I connected the second monitor via the motherboard's HDMI port, but it's not receiving any signal. I've already enabled the dual monitor option in the BIOS, but it still isn't working. I know the monitor and cable are fine, so I'm looking for suggestions on how to troubleshoot this issue.

Have you checked if the second monitor shows up in Windows? Just a heads up, when booting up, only one monitor is active during POST and in the BIOS. Make sure to look in the device manager to see if the second one is detected.

You should plug both monitors directly into your GPU if you have one. Sometimes the onboard graphics don't play nice when the GPU is installed. Also, double-check that you saved your changes in the BIOS after enabling the integrated graphics—this can be an easy oversight!
