How to Get Custom AD sAMAccountName to Show Up for SCIM in Salesforce?

I'm trying to set up user provisioning in Salesforce using a custom attribute from Active Directory. I've created a custom sAMAccountName and verified that it syncs correctly to Microsoft Entra through Entra Connect. However, when I go to edit the mappings in the enterprise app, I can't find my custom attribute listed as an option to use. Am I missing something?

Have you considered using the default sAMAccountName attribute instead? It might save you some trouble since it's already built-in and compatible with SCIM user provisioning.

To get your custom attribute to show up, you need to go into the enterprise app settings, navigate to provisioning, and then to attribute mapping. Choose the users or groups option and hit 'show advanced'. Make sure to edit the attribute list for custom apps. That's where you'll configure your custom attributes so they appear in the source attribute options later.

Quick question, can custom attributes still be utilized in the enterprise app gallery apps? Just wondering how flexible those mappings can get.
