Hey everyone! I'm new here and I have this cool idea for a web-based app that I really want to develop. The catch is, I'm not a coder or developer, but I do have a lot of the initial groundwork laid out. I'm looking for advice on how to kick off the development process and what steps I should take to make my idea a reality. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I recommend writing a detailed specification for your app and then reaching out to developers on platforms like Upwork. Get some quotes and see who’s a good fit for your project!

A solid first step would be to write down all your ideas about what you want the app to do. Once that's done, you can either fund a development team yourself or look for companies that might be interested in sponsoring the development costs.

Definitely start by outlining exactly what you want your app to accomplish for users. Once that's clear, find someone who's skilled in development, ask them plenty of questions, and you might be able to work out a deal for them to build it. Alternatively, you could use AI tools to try coding it yourself, but keep in mind that having some domain knowledge would help a lot!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll focus on creating a detailed outline first.

Before diving into development, it’s wise to vet your app idea in a relevant forum. Get feedback to see if it’s viable. If it seems promising, create a functional requirements document, then hire a developer to create a prototype. Test it with users and refine from there until you feel ready to launch! Good luck!

That sounds like a smart way to go about it! I'll definitely seek some feedback first!
