How to Handle Delegated Mailboxes When Migrating to Office 365?

We're in the process of migrating our email services from G Suite to Office 365, and I need some advice on handling delegated mailboxes. In G Suite, users could easily switch between mailboxes they had access to by clicking their profile picture. However, I'm not sure how this works in Exchange Online. How will users know which mailboxes they're delegates of? Should I enable auto-mapping for every mailbox with delegates? Some users have access to as many as 10 different mailboxes! Alternatively, would it be better to send out a list of mailboxes for them to open manually? Just to clarify, this is my first time managing Exchange, so I might be asking a noob question here. Also, I'm working with full Exchange Online, without any on-prem setup.

In the new Outlook, delegated mailboxes show up under the 'Shared with me' section, making it easier for users to find them. But keep in mind that Intune admins may block the new Outlook, so check with them if this is an issue.

Yeah, if Intune is blocking it, users might have to stick to the classic Outlook for now.

Auto-mapping is the default setting. In Outlook on the web, users can still click their profile picture and select 'Open another mailbox.' In the desktop app, the mailboxes should automatically show up, which is super convenient.

If users are accessing their mail via webmail, the process will be similar to what you're used to in G Suite, so they should find it straightforward.

If you create shared mailboxes and grant full access, they’ll appear in the user's inbox as separate entries. Just avoid complicated policies like requiring users to be in a specific access group; that can make things messy!

Exactly! We had to manually add shared boxes for each user because of a policy like that. Way more hassle than it’s worth.
