Hey everyone! I'm curious about how you're managing HEIC files in a business environment, especially if you're not an enterprise. I'm having trouble because the HEVC files aren't available in my VLSC portal, and I can't buy them from the Microsoft Store since it doesn't support 'work' accounts. Also, my reseller can't provide volume licenses because we don't have any enterprise SKUs. It's really frustrating dealing with these corporate limitations. How are others tackling this issue?

You can use a tool like ImageMagick to convert HEIC files to JPEG or PNG formats. It’s free to use in a business setting, and with command line options, you can mass convert images quite easily.
This whole situation is so annoying! It’s just ridiculous to have to deal with conversions and compatibility issues. It puts us in a tough spot, especially when customers expect usable formats like PDF, PNG, or JPG. Microsoft really needs to provide a straightforward solution for this!
You can check out this link to get a free version that enables HEIC on devices: ms-windows-store://pdp/?ProductId=9n4wgh0z6vhq. While I think it used to be free, some people have mentioned that it's not showing up in the store anymore, so that could be an issue. You might also need the HEIC package along with the HEVC codec for it to work properly.
Yeah, I've heard that it’s no longer free, and that Product ID doesn’t pop up in the store now.
I actually use vendor packages that come preinstalled on our devices, which makes it easier during clean installs.
Totally feel you on that! It looks unprofessional when we can't deliver what customers want, all because of these software limitations.
