I started the installation of Windows 11 on my PC, but I mistakenly did it without an internet connection. My computer is set up upstairs, while the ethernet is downstairs in my gaming room. Currently, I have no Wi-Fi option. Should I just turn off the PC and carry it downstairs to connect it to the internet? Or is there a way to exit the Windows setup without having to physically move the machine? My plan is to stabilize the system first, then properly assemble everything before moving it. Any advice would be appreciated!

If you have access to another computer, you could install Windows on it normally first, then grab the necessary drivers onto a USB stick for the new PC. Otherwise, finishing the install without internet should work just fine.
You can create a local account without internet access. Just hit Shift + F10 to open the command prompt and use the command 'oobe/bypassnro'. This should help you get into Windows without needing to be connected right away.
Best bet is to turn it off, move it, and reboot. It’ll either pick up where you left off or ask you to start the install again, but it shouldn’t cause too much hassle.
You could potentially do a quick reinstall from the USB if you run into problems after moving it. Sometimes a fresh start is the easiest route!
No worries! Windows usually has a backup feature that lets you resume the install from where it stopped if you reboot. You can finish it later after you move the PC, or set up your local account using the command prompt.
