Hey everyone! I'm currently a Desktop Support Engineer with about two years of experience at a small MSP, but I'm really eager to transition into a Linux Admin/Engineer role. Unfortunately, I don't get to work with Linux at my job since we don't have any Linux clients onboard. I do have some hands-on experience using Linux at home, but I know that's not enough to impress recruiters. I hold a bachelor's degree in Information Systems, but I haven't got any IT certifications. My main questions are: what certifications should I pursue to break into this field? I've heard RHCSA is a solid choice, but do certifications like CCNA also help? Lastly, what's the best way to connect with recruiters? Should I reach out on LinkedIn, or wait for them to come to me?

Getting your RHCSA will definitely make you more appealing to recruiters. Once you have that, you shouldn't have trouble finding opportunities!
