I currently have a GCC tenant that's synced with our local Active Directory (AD), along with another smaller commercial tenant. I'm trying to figure out how to migrate the users from the commercial tenant into the GCC tenant so that we only have one tenant left. The challenge is that both tenant users have local AD accounts, and I want to ensure that after the migration, the commercial users can still use their email addresses on the XYZ.com domain. Can anyone guide me through the steps for migrating the mailboxes, OneDrive, and Teams for these users into our GCC tenant? I'm a bit lost on how the existing AD accounts will impact this migration. I've heard Bittitan is a helpful tool, but I'm not sure how to start.

In my experience, Bittitan is great for this kind of migration. You'll be migrating into your existing accounts, which makes things easier. Here’s a rough set of steps to follow:
1. Sync local AD accounts from the commercial tenant to your GCC tenant.
2. Make sure to license those accounts.
3. Use Bittitan to migrate user emails and any other necessary data.
4. Transition the commercial domain over to the GCC tenant.
5. Update the email addresses of those commercial users back to their original domain.
6. Don’t forget to change the MX records to point to your new tenant.
That sounds good! Just make sure you double-check everything before you start the migration to avoid losing any important data.
