I'm currently 16 and have one more year of high school before heading off to university. I'm interested in a career in Computer Science, but I'm feeling uncertain about whether it's the right path, especially with the rise of AI and how competitive junior roles can be. My main concern is figuring out what I should be learning in preparation, as I know a degree alone won't be sufficient. I enjoy front-end web development, but I worry it might not be relevant by the time I'm job hunting around 2031 or 2032. Game development sounds intriguing but really challenging, and while I'm hesitant about back-end development, cybersecurity is a bit appealing. I'm just feeling a lot of pressure and confusion about the future!

It's tough being expected to make such big decisions at 16! If you really enjoy programming, try to code whenever you can and see where that leads you. Don’t be afraid to explore other interests too. Remember, it's totally fine to change your mind as you grow.
