I'm looking for a way to prevent Windows Hello for Business (WHfB) from locking my computer when the screen times out. Currently, it seems to override the automatic lock timeout I have set in Entra, which is five minutes. Instead, my device locks after just two minutes of inactivity, which is frustrating. While this is a slight improvement over requiring a password, it's still not ideal. Oddly enough, it appears that the system can lock even faster if you catch the screen going dark, as opposed to waiting for the usual timeout. Any suggestions for a fix?

One option could be to set a policy that extends the screen timeout to ten minutes. It might not be exactly what you're looking for, but it's a workaround while we're dealing with WHfB's quirks. Just be aware that it might not resolve the underlying issue completely.
Did you mean WHfB? If so, it sounds like a frustrating situation! Unfortunately, there may not be a straightforward fix right now. Just keep an eye on updates, as these kinds of quirks sometimes get addressed in patches.
