Hi everyone! I recently purchased a Windows Server 2022 Standard edition license that covers all my cores. From what I gather, this should allow me to create two Windows Server 2022 Standard virtual machines (VMs) and use the same license number for both the Hyper-V host and the VMs. Is that accurate? Just want to confirm if entering the same license key three times (once for the host and twice for the VMs) is the right way to activate them. Thanks!

You're good to go as long as your Hyper-V prevents it from running anything other than hypervisors. It's generally good practice to keep it dedicated to Hyper-V.
Just a heads up, if you're using a cluster with multiple nodes, you'll need to license each one separately.
Exactly! You need one license for the physical host and two for the VMs. If Microsoft ever audits you, they'll just check if you have enough licenses, not the specific keys you used.
Yes, that's correct! You can use your license key for the host and then the two VMs. Just make sure they're all on the same physical host.
