How to Reignite My Interest in Web Development?

Hey everyone! I've got a background in full stack web development, but I haven't touched coding in about 5 months after a frustrating experience selling one of my sites. It's really thrown me off, especially with college around the corner. I'm looking to get back into it and explore new areas before I dive into classes. My laptop isn't great for Android development, so I've started learning C++ and data structures, with a plan to create TUI and GTK apps for Linux. However, I'm worried C++ may not be the best long-term choice outside of big companies and game development. I'd love your advice on how to regain my focus, what new areas to explore, and if I'm off track with my thoughts about programming. Honestly, I'm not expecting much from my upcoming exams and could use some guidance!

It might be time to think about what you want to achieve with your coding skills. Instead of just learning for the sake of learning, consider what projects or problems inspire you. Building a "brand" around your programming can help you stay motivated. Are there specific real-world applications or causes you care about? Focus on those!

That makes sense! I know I need to find something with purpose. What kind of projects do you recommend?
