How to Remove Partitions After Wrong Dual Boot Installation Choice?

I accidentally chose the "install alongside Windows" option during my dual boot setup with Linux Mint instead of selecting "Something else". I realized this mistake while the installation was in progress and canceled it, but now I need to figure out how to remove any files that were created on my hard drive and properly install Linux on my already partitioned space. What should I do?

You can use GParted to find and delete the partition that was created (it should be labeled as ext4). Just make sure to double-check that it's the right one before you delete it!

Are there any chances those files could end up on my Windows disk? Because dealing with that situation would be quite a hassle.
