A user was terminated, but we're allowing them to transfer their Google Workspace emails to a new account. I understand that I need to authorize the new account to initiate the transfer. They will then upload a CSV mapping the source emails to target emails. However, I'm worried about the possibility of them uploading a CSV with many of my source email users, thereby accessing all of my users' emails if they have an equal number of target emails. It feels like there's no way to prevent this, and they're not going to give me access to their workspace to ensure the integrity of that CSV. Is there any way to limit this or a workaround?

I agree, dealing with direct migrations can be risky. A safer route is to export your emails to a PST file and let them handle the rest through Google Takeout. This way, you maintain control over what’s being transferred.
This whole situation sounds tricky! Honestly, I’d recommend exporting the necessary emails to a mailbox export and handing it over to them. It shifts the responsibility onto them to deal with the import, rather than using any direct migration tool that lacks security measures.
