How to Set Up a Temporary Dashboard for Production Goals?

I'm looking for some help with a straightforward IT issue. I need to set up a temporary TV display (for about 1-2 months) that shows our production goals, which will be updated manually every 2-4 hours based on various predictions. I've got a TV and a miniPC running Windows 11 Pro. My current plan is to create an Excel spreadsheet for the data, share it, and then open it full screen on the miniPC so it refreshes automatically as updates are made. I've also thought about keeping the PC on guest WiFi, ensuring it doesn't go to sleep or have a screensaver. But I'm wondering, is there a better solution out there?

You could utilize a SharePoint list for updating the goals. Since you're already starting to use SharePoint, it can be a good option for creating a simple dashboard that the team can access easily.

I hadn't thought of that. I’ll talk to the person managing our SharePoint setup. Thanks!

Definitely look into SharePoint. It's a nice way to collaborate and keep the data centralized.

Another idea is to run a PowerPoint presentation on loop on the PC. You can set it up to pull data from Excel or other sources, and as people update the data, it will automatically refresh in your slides. Just make sure the TV and PC don’t sleep or have screensavers on.

Have you considered using Grafana? It's designed for creating dashboards, and it could simplify displaying your production goals. It might be the easiest way to manage the data updates without a lot of manual intervention.

I'll check it out. Thanks for the suggestion!

Grafana is a solid choice, especially if you're handling large sets of data. It can really help visualize things too.
