I'm having a frustrating issue with my internet setup. I'm using a gig fiber connection with a Cat6 ethernet cable, which gives me great speeds—around 850 up and 700 down for about five minutes. However, the WiFi keeps turning itself on and then my speeds drop to around 250-300. I've checked all the auto-connect settings and followed several troubleshooting tips I found online. Interestingly, it seems like the WiFi isn't connecting via the WiFi driver but rather through the ethernet connection itself. I'm running Windows 11 with a Killer E2600 Gigabit Ethernet Controller for wired and a Killer WiFi 6 AX1650i for wireless. I've turned off IPV6 and adjusted power scaling settings I found in recommendations, but I'm out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated!

Since you’re using Killer adapters, check the Killer software for the 'DoubleShot Pro' feature. It’s designed to combine both connections but can cause issues like yours. Turning it off might solve the problem!
Another method is to go into Network Connections in Control Panel. Disable the WiFi connection there and also ensure your wired connection settings don't allow the OS to shut off power when not in use. That could help keep your ethernet active.
First thing you can try is disabling the WiFi adapter entirely. Sometimes, systems can still connect even if you think you've turned it off. You need to check your device manager and ensure the WiFi adapter is disabled properly.
Lastly, you might want to log into your router settings and turn off the WiFi feature if it’s an option. Sometimes the router has its own settings that override your device settings.
You might want to try turning off the WiFi at your router if it’s possible. However, if others in your house rely on it, that might not be feasible.
Yeah, I can’t do that since everyone else is using WiFi. It’s not a great option for me.

I actually tried that already, but it just keeps connecting again. It seems like there's more going on with the ethernet manager.
