My mom's computer is stuck opening Yahoo whenever she opens a new tab in Google Chrome. This started about a week ago after she may have installed something. She's tried resetting her settings and even reinstalled Chrome, but the problem persists. I noticed some suspicious installer applications in her downloads around that time, and I think this might be the cause. Does anyone know how to fix this on Windows 10?

You should check Chrome's settings and see if you can change the new tab behavior. Also, make sure to uninstall any suspicious extensions or toolbars that might have come along with the installation.
You might want to uninstall any unknown programs and then run Malwarebytes or HitmanPro. Sometimes a Chrome reset isn’t enough if registry entries got modified, and Malwarebytes is pretty good for cleaning up adware.
Can you send me links to those? When I look them up, they show up in Russian, and I want to make sure I'm going to the right site.
Another thing to check is if the default search engine in Chrome got changed to Yahoo. I just checked mine, and that could definitely be the issue.
No, it's not. I checked. I even deleted Yahoo from the list multiple times, but it keeps coming back.
I already deleted all of her extensions and that didn't work.
