How to Transfer an SSD from an Old Computer to a New One?

I recently got a new computer that will come equipped with an SSD running Windows 11 as the boot drive. I'd like to add an SSD from my old computer to this new setup for extra storage and to keep some old files. The challenge is that the old SSD currently has Windows 10 on it, but I definitely want to avoid using it as a boot drive. Is the process as simple as plugging it in and booting up, or are there specific steps I need to follow, especially considering it was the boot drive for my old PC? Any advice or guides would be really helpful!

You should be able to just change the boot order in the BIOS after you install the old SSD. That way, your new drive boots first and Windows 11 loads up. Once that's done, your old SSD will show up as extra storage, letting you access all your files without it trying to boot from there.

Sounds good! So once my new computer is set up, I’ll add the old SSD and get into the BIOS to adjust those settings, right?
