How to Transfer Songs from an Old iPod to My Wife’s iPhone?

I'm trying to help my wife get the music from her old iPod Classic onto her iPhone's playlist, but I'm a bit lost. I've managed to transfer all the songs from her iPod to my PC using HFSEexplorer, but I don't understand how to get them onto her iPhone. She uses a red app which I think is Apple Music, but I'm confused about the differences between Apple's services like Apple Music and iTunes. Her iCloud account shows her Gmail, but the Home Sharing Apple ID is an old email address she doesn't have access to anymore. I need to know how to make sure she doesn't lose her purchased songs on her iPhone while getting the new songs imported. Can anyone guide me through this?

It sounds like you're overcomplicating things a bit! iTunes and Apple Music can be confusing, but here's a simple fix: Open iTunes or Apple Music on your PC, log into your wife's Apple ID (the Gmail one), and create a new playlist. Just drag the songs from the folder you copied them into right into that playlist. Give it a few minutes to sync, and everything should be good to go. Sometimes taking the easy route works best with Apple products!

I tried that method, but I logged into her Apple ID and it didn’t show her existing playlists. I created a playlist called IPOD SONGS and dragged in the files; they show up on my PC, but they don’t sync to her iPhone at all. Something's off with the syncing process!
