How to Uninstall Opera GX and Manage My Saved Information?

I'm thinking about switching from Opera GX to Brave since I've heard some not-so-great things about Opera. I have a bunch of saved passwords, addresses, and card info in Opera GX. Should I change all my passwords first before uninstalling, or is it okay to just uninstall the browser? What's the best way to handle this transition without losing any important info?

I've gotta ask, who told you Opera GX is terrible and what specific issues did they mention? That might help in figuring out if the switch is really worth it.

You’re not really switching browsers in a big way since both run on Chromium. You might actually have a better experience with Mozilla Firefox. Plus, if you install Firefox, it usually gives you the option to import your passwords and other details from Opera.

It might be a good idea to consider using a password manager like LastPass or 1Password instead of relying on the browser's built-in storage. That way, your passwords are accessible across different browsers. Just make sure to remember the password for the manager, and setting up two-factor authentication can add an extra layer of security!

I know this might not be popular, but I actually love using Google Chrome! 🙌

But both Opera GX and Chrome are just Chromium-based browsers, right? They have a lot in common.
