How to Unlock My iPad Without Losing Photos?

Hey everyone! I accidentally locked my iPad because I forgot the passcode, and now it's asking me to connect to iTunes or Finder. The iPad is linked to my Apple ID, but I didn't set up an iCloud backup, and I really need to save the photos on it. Has anyone successfully unlocked a passcode-locked iPad without wiping it, or found a way to extract or back up photos before erasing the device? Just to give you a bit more info, my iPad model is an iPad Air (1st Gen). Any tips or advice would be super helpful!

If you can access another Apple device, try going into Settings, tapping your name, then iCloud, and look for Manage Account Storage. You can see if there are any backups stored there. But if you haven't set it up, you likely won’t find anything.

Yeah, unfortunately, it sounds like that's not going to help you if the backup isn’t there.

You might want to try logging into iCloud.com with your Apple ID. It can show you what’s been saved there, but since you mentioned you didn't set up an iCloud backup, it might not help too much if your photos aren't there. Worth checking though!

Sadly, it sounds like if you didn’t back them up, you might be out of luck.
