How Well Will the iGPU on a 9800X3D Handle Daily Tasks?

Hey everyone! I'm currently using an old setup with a 3770K CPU and a GTX 970 GPU, but it's starting to feel outdated. With the graphics card market being what it is, I'm thinking about building a new PC and using the integrated GPU (iGPU) on the 9800X3D until the rumored 5070 Super TI comes out next Spring.

I know there are better CPUs out there if I was just focusing on iGPU performance, but I really want to stick with the 9800X3D in my final build.

Can anyone give me an idea of how the iGPU of the 9800X3D will perform compared to my current setup? Here's what I'd like to know, rated from 1 to 4:

1. Slide-show/lag fest;
2. Less performance but not too noticeable;
3. About the same;
4. Actually better.

I typically use it for:
- General web browsing with 15+ tabs open (usually 4-5 at a time);
- Stock trading apps like ThinkorSwim;
- Watching YouTube videos;
- Chatting on Discord;
- Light gaming like 2D games;
- Roll20 for D&D sessions in the browser;
- Using Excel and Word.

I'm aware that some may suggest simply sticking with a GPU like the 1660 Super, but I'd prefer to use the iGPU if it's not going to be a total disaster!

You’ll be all set for everything you listed, including light gaming. In fact, check out this benchmark I found for the iGPU on the 9800X3D: [Benchmark Link](https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-ryzen-7-9700x/22.html). It gives a pretty good idea of its capabilities!

Thanks for that link! I was actually wondering about the same thing, especially after a friend built a system with a similar CPU without a dedicated GPU and said it's been great for daily tasks.

The iGPU on the 9800X3D should handle all those daily tasks without any problems. None of them are graphically intensive, so you should be fine!
