Hey everyone! I'm really new to coding and have recently realized that developing programming skills could be essential for the future. I'm excited but also pretty confused about where to start. To be honest, I've been a bit lazy in the past couple of years, just waiting for things to fall into place like finding a college or a decent job. I finally managed to get a job, even if it doesn't pay well, but I know I can do better. I've decided it's time for a change, so I'd like to start learning coding, possibly Lua since my younger sibling already knows some of its tricks for Roblox game development. However, I'm open to starting with another language if that's better. The closest I've come to coding is messing around with a simple tool called Skribble, and I'm eager to learn more. By the way, I apologize for my long-winded post and any grammar mistakes—English isn't my first language. Thanks for reading!

So, first things first, it's great that you want to start coding! I recommend diving into either Python or JavaScript as they're beginner-friendly and will help you avoid getting stuck in the 'terminal hell' of coding. Both allow you to build fun projects without needing a ton of prior knowledge. Since you're interested in Lua for Roblox, you might find some useful tutorial resources there too! To really learn, just keep practicing by trying out coding exercises on sites like Beecrowd or LeetCode—it's all about making mistakes and learning from them. Good luck!

I always thought Python was super hard! Do I need any special software to get started with it?

Are there other good sources apart from the ones mentioned?
