Hey everyone! I'm really new to coding and just started thinking it might be a good idea to learn, especially since technology is playing such a huge role in our world today. I'm excited but also feeling a bit scared and confused about where to begin. To be honest, I've spent the last couple of years not doing much and relying on my family to help with my future, but now I want to take charge. I'd like to start learning a programming language, maybe Lua since my younger sibling knows some of it for Roblox dev, but I'm open to suggestions for other languages that could help me build a solid foundation. The only coding experience I have is playing around with a basic tool called Skribble. Sorry for the ramble and any poor grammar—English isn't my first language! Thanks for any advice!

Great to see you're interested in learning to code! I recommend starting with Python or JavaScript. They're both beginner-friendly and let you create fun projects pretty easily. Python is particularly good if you're looking to avoid getting stuck in 'terminal hell.' Just dive in, make mistakes, and learn from them—practice is key! Also, check out platforms like Beecrowd or LeetCode for some exercise ideas to get you started. Good luck!
You can start with online tools like Replit or use something like Anaconda for Python. Just make sure to pick a code editor that feels comfy for you!
You might want to check out the FAQ section in learning forums! It typically covers all the basics you need and can save you a lot of time. Don't forget to check for pinned posts that have great resources for beginners!
Oh, don't worry! There’s a pinned post titled "New? READ ME FIRST!" that's super helpful. It has loads of resources for beginners just like you!
Thanks! I haven't seen that before, I’ll definitely check it out!
I heard Python is hard for beginners, but now I'm curious! Do I need any specific software to start, or can I use something online?
