Hey everyone! After I updated to iOS 26, my iMessage stopped working, and I keep getting an error saying, 'error occurred during activation.' I reached out to Apple, and they advised me to wait 24 hours, but I've already tried everything I could find online. I've noticed this seems to be a common issue not just limited to iOS 26, as others have experienced it with previous updates too. Any advice or solutions?

I've seen a lot of reports about this too. Just to check, do your cellular data and phone calls work alright? And what build of iOS are you on? That might help narrow things down a bit.
I heard this might be mainly affecting those with newer eSIM cards.
It’s definitely not just a problem for 'new' eSIMs. My eSIM has been fine until this iOS 26 update—spent a full hour on the phone with US mobile and messaged Apple support. The only answer I got? 'Just wait 24 hours.' Super frustrating! 😠
