Hey everyone! I'm curious if anyone here has gone through the phone interview process for a DevOps Engineer position at Rakuten in Canada recently. I'm looking for details on what to expect, including the format of the interview and the types of questions, whether they're more technical or behavioral. Also, I'm interested in knowing which technologies or tools they focus on during the interview. If there's anything you wish you had known before your call, please share! I'd really appreciate any insights you have, even if it's from what friends or colleagues have experienced. Thanks a lot! 🙏

I can't share much since my interview was a while ago, but I remember them asking about cloud platforms, especially AWS. It felt quite focused on practical applications. A tip: have some questions prepared for them, too; it shows you're interested!
I went through the process a few weeks ago. The interview was a mix of technical and behavioral questions. They focused quite a bit on CI/CD practices and tools like Jenkins and Docker. Make sure you can discuss your past projects in detail, as they'll likely ask about your specific experiences. I wish I had brushed up more on the soft skills aspects, as they wanted to know how I handle team dynamics and conflict resolution.
Did they ask any scenario-based questions? Like how you would handle a specific issue in a DevOps environment?
Good point! I had a couple of questions ready, and it definitely helped to engage more during the interview.
