I recently installed a new power supply unit (PSU), but now there's no power at all to my motherboard. I've unplugged and replugged everything, and I've even tried shorting the power switch, but I'm really lost on what to try next.

Given the specs you provided, if you're still having issues, the PSU could definitely be dead on arrival (DOA). Check if there are any indicator lights on it. Those can be a huge help in diagnosing PSU problems.

I don't see any lights on the PSU.

If nothing is powering up, my first guess would be that the new PSU is faulty. Just to double-check, did you replace all the power cables with the ones that came with the new PSU?

Yes, I made sure to use all the new cables.

If this new PSU is still not working, try plugging your old PSU back in. If everything boots up fine, then you'll know the new one has a problem, and you should look into returning or exchanging it.

This might sound super basic, but did you make sure the power switch on the back of the PSU is in the 'on' position? Sometimes the simplest things trip us up!

I wish it were that simple!
