I've been dealing with some frustrating internet connection issues over the past few months. My PC seems to partially lose connection; I can still access Google-related websites like YouTube and Gmail, but anything else just shows me a connection error in the browser. While I'm playing an MMORPG, specifically BDO, the connection drops when I try to make transactions in the game market, but I can still move around and kill mobs. When I switch channels or go through a loading screen, the connection loss happens again, and if I try to reopen the game afterwards, it claims I have no connection. Interestingly, when I ping 8.8.8.8 during these problems, it responds just fine. The only fix I've found is restarting my PC, as restarting the router doesn't help. I even tried using a second internet provider for a month, and I didn't experience these issues, although the ping was higher. I've contacted my current provider about 10 times, and they keep saying they've adjusted the router settings, but the problem persists. I suspect it might be a DNS issue, as I've disabled IPv6, manually set DNS to 8.8.8.8, 1.1.1.1, and 8.8.4.4, and updated all my drivers. Nothing seems to work except for restarting the PC. I have some screenshots showing the issues I face, including connection drops during gameplay and errors accessing websites across different browsers. My system specs are 9950x3d, MSI 5090 liquid supprim, with 96GB Corsair Dominator RAM at 6600 MHz, and an MPG X870E CARBON WIFI motherboard.

It sounds like a router issue for sure. What model are you using? If it's a Zyxel ax7501b1, there might be compatibility problems or specific settings that need tweaking. Sometimes, older routers can struggle with newer devices or heavy traffic, so it might be worth checking if there are firmware updates available or even considering a replacement if the model is outdated. You may also want to look into your network settings to see if anything seems off there.
That’s a bummer! It definitely sounds like something odd with your router setup. You might want to try adjusting the Quality of Service (QoS) settings on your router if it supports it — that can help prioritize gaming traffic. And while it is not the ideal situation, having a backup provider that works better is definitely a good fallback while you troubleshoot this issue.
