iPhone 16 Charging Issue – Should I Be Concerned?

Hey everyone! I recently bought an iPhone 16 about three months ago, and I've run into a strange problem. This weekend, my phone completely died when the battery hit 1%. After that, I tried charging it, but it didn't respond at all. I kept attempting to charge it for about 30 to 60 minutes, but nothing happened. I decided to leave it alone for a day, thinking of sending it in for repair. Then, suddenly, after 1.5 days of being off, I tried charging it again, and it worked—showing the battery symbol and beginning to charge.

Is this kind of behavior normal? Could it be a deep discharge issue? It has happened once before, but it started charging again after just an hour of being off. I'm torn between sending it in for service or just continuing to use it. I also remember that if Apple replaces it, I could end up with a refurbished phone, which I'd prefer to avoid since it's essentially new. Any advice would be appreciated!

It sounds like there could be a power management glitch, which might not be hardware-related. Just make sure your software is up to date, as that can often help resolve these kinds of issues.

Yes, I checked, and everything is up to date!

If you're worried, taking it to Apple for diagnostics isn't a bad idea. They can check if it's something minor or a bigger issue. Better safe than sorry!

That's my dilemma! I just don't want to overreact if it's nothing serious.
