I just got a 9060xt 16GB graphics card, which is known to perform well at 1440p. I'm curious about how it would work if I decided to downscale my games to 1080p on my 1440p monitor. I primarily play casual games, so I'm not sure if 1080p would be worth it or if it would look terrible. Any thoughts?

My brother has the same GPU and hasn't had any problems playing at 1440p. You might want to give it a shot first before deciding.
If you do set it to 1080p, remember that some games can automatically adjust the resolution for you using a feature called resolution scaling. Scaling it to 75% of the native 1440p could give you a nice balance without dropping quality too much. You'll likely see increased frame rates and lower power usage too!
There's really no need to drop down to 1080p with that GPU. It's better to use upscaling features; they can enhance your experience without sacrificing resolution.

That's a solid idea! Going for a 75% scale can keep things sharper. Plus, it’s worth noting that some games handle this scaling better than others.
