They used to show up as "not delivered" but recently I haven't seen any status update at all—neither delivered nor not delivered. When I called the number, it directed me to a Tesco voicemail. I'm wondering if the number might still be inactive, or if my texts have gone to someone else who may have blocked me. It's just confusing since none of my messages ever indicated they were delivered.

It sounds like the number may have been re-issued by the phone company to someone else. That can happen sometimes, especially after a period of inactivity.
