Hey everyone! I recently got my hands on the PS5 Pro and overall, I'm really happy with it. I sold my base model to help cover some of the costs, and I've definitely noticed improvements in graphics and framerate stability. That said, I'm really curious about what gaming is like at 120fps. I mostly play story-driven single-player games, so I'm wondering how big of a difference 120fps actually makes. Can someone also give me an idea of how much I'd need to spend on a setup that can deliver at least 120fps at 1440p? Is it worth the investment, or is 60fps good enough?

The jump to 120fps looks and feels way smoother, especially when you're in action-packed scenes. It adds clarity to the motion, making everything look sharper. However, it doesn't necessarily make the game more enjoyable overall. If your PS5 Pro handles what you want to play, I’d say stick with it instead of shelling out $1300-1500 for a gaming rig capable of 1440p at 120fps.
If you have a PS5, you can experience 120Hz gaming with select titles. Watching gameplay in those high frame rates really can enhance your experience! There's even a video that dives into how 120fps benefits even story-driven games – it’s pretty eye-opening. In short, you get lower latency and much smoother motion, which makes a noticeable difference!
Honestly, 60fps is totally playable and fine, especially for story-driven games. I've upgraded my setups over time and can’t really go back. Currently, I'm rocking 4k at 160Hz across three monitors, and it’s been a game changer. But again, that’s a personal preference; some folks are totally okay with 60, while others feel it’s too choppy after getting used to high refresh rates.
What monitors are you using? My 4k setup only runs 144Hz.
