Is 32GB RAM enough for 1440p gaming or should I go for 64GB?

I'm in the process of building a gaming PC specifically for 1440p gaming. It will feature a Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor and a 5080 graphics card. I'm debating whether 32GB of RAM will be sufficient for gaming, or if I should stretch my budget to 64GB. Just to clarify, my main use will be gaming with occasional movie watching, nothing else really. What do you think?

While 32GB is adequate, if you want to future-proof your build a bit, 64GB isn't a bad idea—especially if you think you'll be keeping the system for a while. Of course, that all depends on how RAM prices are at the moment!

Good point! But with prices being high now, I think I'll stick with 32GB for now.

Yeah, I would definitely wait. 32GB is enough for most games currently.

For pure gaming, you won't hit the limits of 32GB unless you're into really mod-heavy games or intense multitasking. Otherwise, you're good!

32GB is definitely plenty for most gaming needs these days. I've been playing at 4K with 32GB and only a few games push over that. Unless you're running really demanding titles or lots of mods, you'll be just fine.

32GB is sufficient for gaming today, and you might not even see the need to upgrade for several years. If you’re only gaming, you’re golden with that amount. But keep an eye on prices in case they drop later for an upgrade.

Honestly, 32GB is still more than enough for gaming. Most games don't require more than that, and with RAM prices being what they are, I wouldn’t recommend overspending on 64GB unless you plan to do intensive multitasking or professional work.

That’s a solid plan! I was considering 64GB too, but the prices are just ridiculous right now. Better to save that cash for a future upgrade!

Exactly! Unless you’re running super modded games or balancing a ton of tasks, 32GB will serve you well.
