I've noticed my Ryzen 5 5600X idling at 50C, and I'm not sure if that's normal. I've reseated the AIO and reapplied thermal paste, but I also switched the stock NZXT fans for Arctic P12s to reduce noise. I've read that 50C idles aren't uncommon for AMD CPUs, especially those cooled with air, but I'm wondering if this is typical for a liquid-cooled setup. By the way, my GPU (3080 FE) is also idling at 50C, and I haven't done any overclocking, just set the PBO to auto in the BIOS. Any insights would be helpful! Thanks!

Idle temperatures can be a bit misleading. What's more important is how hot the CPU gets under load. 50C by itself isn't alarming and won't harm your CPU. You're right that max load temperatures matter more than idle temps. Could you share those?
50C might sound high for an AIO system on a CPU known for running cool, but it’s not a major concern unless you see temps hitting 95C or more under load. Just keep an eye on those load temps, and you should be good.
Yeah, my load temps are okay, but it does bug me a bit with the idle being 50C. I see others with similar setups getting much lower idle temps. My room is around 20-23C, so I wonder if that affects it.
You're right to focus on load temps. If they're fine, then no worries! Also, take a look at how your pump fan curve is set up. If the pump speed drops significantly at idle, that could lead to warmer temperatures. Maintaining at least 80% pump speed at all times helps keep temperatures in check.

I ran a CPU stress test for 10 minutes and the max temp was around 65-66C. That seems fine, right? Thanks for the input!
