Hey everyone! I just finished assembling my first gaming PC after a long research journey. I've purchased components like the 9800x3d and a RX 9070 XT, which I'm super excited about. However, due to the high RAM prices these days, I ended up opting for 5600 MHz RAM with CL40 timings. I'm curious if I should consider upgrading to lower CL timings or higher MHz down the line, or if what I have will work fine for my setup. What do you think?

Honestly, I’d suggest going for 6000 MHz with CL30 if you can swing it. In the US, you can find decent options for just over $200 right now.

It was under $100 a week ago, which is frustrating! Things have really shot up in price.

I managed to get mine for $150 on Amazon—seemed like the best deal at the time!

For your 9800x3D, you should be okay with what you’ve got. The large L3 cache minimizes the impact of RAM speed, so it won't be a huge bottleneck.

Thanks for the reassurance! If I don't notice any issues, I might just stick with it. I do have a warranty, so I can always return it if needed.
