Is 60°C Idle Normal for My CPU?

I built my PC back in August, and I've been using a 7800 X3D processor with an ASUS X670E Plus motherboard, cooled by an Arctic Liquid Freezer III cooler. All fans are operational, and the airflow seems fine as it's blowing through the heat sink and out the top of the case. I even replaced the thermal paste recently. However, today it's a hot day, and since my room isn't air-conditioned, I noticed my CPU suddenly shut down. Core Temp is showing my CPU at 60°C while just running Discord and my browser, with CPU load only around 10%. I felt the pipes connected to the cooling block and they were warm, and I can tell the pump is working. I'm worried about more shutdowns in the summer. After trying to launch a game, the CPU spiked to 92°C but dropped back to around 66°C once the cooling kicked in. I need to figure out if this is normal or if something's wrong!

It sounds like your cooler might not be doing its job properly. I have a Cooler Master AIO that idles around 35°C with minimal fan speed. If you can, try increasing the fan speeds on your Arctic cooling unit to see if that helps lower the temps. It could just need a little boost to perform better.

How do I increase the fan speeds?
