Is 64GB RAM Worth It Over 32GB for AM5 Builds?

I've been doing some research on RAM for AM5 builds, and there's a lot of debate out there about whether 64GB is really worth it compared to 32GB. I understand that latency is an important factor, and I've calculated the latency for a 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM kit with timings of 26-36-36-96, which comes out to 8.666ns. This seems better than a 32GB kit that has a 10ns latency. But I'm wondering if other factors come into play here? Is the 64GB kit truly faster, and will it work with my setup since it's not on the motherboard's QVL list although the motherboard is compatible with the RAM?

Hold up! You can actually go for a 32GB kit with the same 6000MT/s speed and CL26, and you'd get the same latency. So yes, while the 64GB option has better numbers, there are definitely cheaper ways to achieve good performance without breaking the bank on that 64GB kit.

Exactly! I just want a solid rig for my computing needs, and I'm trying to determine if that 64GB kit will really outperform the 32GB option in practical usage, especially considering it's not in the QVL.
