Hey folks, I have a Ryzen 7 7700X paired with an NZXT Kraken 240 AIO cooler inside an NZXT H5 Flow case. I didn't build it myself; I just picked the parts and had a store assemble it about a year ago. While playing AAA games, my CPU temperature hovers around 80°C, and I'm starting to wonder if that's too high for gaming. Here's a bit more detail about my setup: I have the Kraken 240 with the radiator mounted at the top of the case, and it has two fans below the radiator pushing air out. The pump runs at about 2500-2600 RPM, the fans are at around 1100 RPM, and everything is set to 'Performance' mode in NZXT CAM. I'd like to hear your thoughts: are these temperatures normal for a setup like mine, or should I be concerned? Is it worth re-seating the cooler with new thermal paste, or should I look into adjusting the fan or pump curves first? Any tips to improve cooling would also be appreciated!

Don't worry, that temperature won't damage the CPU. Just keep an eye on it, and maybe try adjusting fans or cooler settings before jumping to reseating.
That temp is pretty common for the 7700X, especially with a 240mm AIO. Just double-check that it has always been like this since you built it. If so, it’s likely just normal operation for your setup.
To get a better idea, try checking your case and GPU temperatures as well. Take off the side panel when gaming and see if that helps; if the difference is more than 15°C, you might need to optimize your airflow. If you're considering reseating, make sure the screws aren’t loose first. Also, if you're using Precision Boost Overdrive or any overclocks, consider undervolting—it might improve both temps and performance!
