Is a 100Hz Monitor Worth It For My GTX 1650?

I'm currently using a 20-inch 60Hz monitor, and I'm thinking about upgrading to a larger 27-inch screen. My GPU is a GTX 1650, so I'm torn between getting a 100Hz or a 75Hz monitor. What do you think would be the best choice for my setup?

A 144Hz or 165Hz 1080p monitor would be a good fit for you. Just a heads up, your GTX 1650 might not support adaptive sync via HDMI, so make sure to check compatibility. If you're gaming at 1080p, you should be able to hit those refresh rates without problems. But going for a higher resolution like 1440p may be pushing it a bit for your GPU.

You could snag a decent 1080p 144Hz monitor for really cheap these days—I've seen them for around $100 in the US! But if you're considering a 27-inch model, that would be better suited for 1440p resolutions in general. 1080p 144Hz might be the way to go if you need something budget-friendly though!

Wish I could get that price here; I'm from Iran, and the cost is much higher!

I'd suggest looking at a 144Hz option if you want some future-proofing. If you plan to upgrade your GPU later, having a monitor that can handle more frames will be a bonus. Just keep in mind that UI elements can be tricky unless you're factoring in mouse lag too.

Got it! Since I'm using a GTX 1650, I might just stick to 1080p for now.

If you're looking for something affordable, you might consider a monitor in the 144Hz to 165Hz range. They aren't too pricey these days, especially if you choose a VA or IPS panel. If you're on a tight budget, the 100Hz model will still deliver a decent experience, especially with your current graphics card.

In my country, prices are really high, so I need to be careful with the budget.
