I'm considering using a 128GB USB 3.2 drive to store some older games, but I'm unsure if it's a good idea. What do you think? Are there better options for external storage for gaming?

Using a USB flash drive for gaming isn’t the best option due to its limited read/write speeds. Instead, I’d recommend getting a USB to SATA adapter paired with a 2.5" SSD for much better performance. If you're using a desktop, you can just put a new drive right in without needing extra bays.

I suggest looking into m.2 enclosures instead. They’re often faster than 2.5" ones, especially with USB 3.0 or USB-C connections. Plus, if you have a desktop with spare SATA slots, you can just stick the SSD anywhere in the case.
