Is a 12ft Ethernet Connection Better Than WiFi for My AppleTV?

I'm considering connecting my AppleTV directly to my router with a 12ft Ethernet cable instead of using WiFi. I have a 1gb internet speed and don't experience any issues with WiFi. However, since I recently redecorated and my TV is now on the same wall as the router, I thought hardwiring it might improve my connection by reducing the load on WiFi. Would a 12ft cable affect my internet speed or connection quality?

I have a similar setup with a 25ft low profile flat cable, and it definitely outperforms my WiFi connection. For a short run like yours, you shouldn't have any issues at all!

Absolutely, a 12ft Ethernet cable is perfect! Just ensure you get a quality cable that supports your internet speed. You'll likely notice it's much better than using WiFi, especially for streaming!

Wired connections are generally more reliable than WiFi, so using a 12ft cable should give you a noticeable improvement in speed and consistency. Plus, you won't lose anything with that length if the cable is good quality!
