I'm considering building a PC and found a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti for around $230. Given the current year is 2025, is this GPU worth investing in, or would I be better off looking for something newer?

Don't forget to compare it with other options in that price range. Websites like Techpowerup can give you a good idea of how it stacks up against newer GPUs. It might be old and could need some maintenance, plus it draws a fair bit of power. If you can find something newer in the same price range, I'd suggest going for that instead.
Honestly, if the price is right, the 2080 Ti can still play most games decently. Just don't expect to crank everything up to max at 4K. It's an older card, but if you find it at a budget-friendly price, it could still serve you well for casual gaming.
If you're looking at $230, I think you need to really evaluate the performance to price ratio. The 2080 Ti can handle 1080p gaming pretty well and might do okay at 1440p on lower settings. But keep in mind, it’s not the most power-efficient card out there these days. I’d only consider it if the price was below $200, honestly. Just feels a bit outdated for the current market.
