Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my PC. Currently, I have a Gamemax 400W power supply, an AMD RX500 graphics card, and a Ryzen 3300X processor. I'm considering switching to an RTX 3050, but I'm uncertain if my power supply can handle it. Any insights would be appreciated! Thanks!

Your 400W PSU should technically be enough wattage-wise for the RTX 3050, but you might want to reconsider keeping a Gamemax power supply since they are known to have quality issues. I suggest looking for a replacement power supply. Also, if you’re on a budget around $150, you could find a used RTX 2070, or consider a used RTX 3060 for about $200. It might be a better investment!

Got it, thanks for the tip! Can you explain why the 3050 isn’t worth it?
