I'm looking to upgrade my PC by adding an RX 6600 for light gaming and daily tasks, but I want to check if my current power supply can handle it without needing an upgrade. Here's my existing setup: AMD Ryzen 5 5500GT with integrated graphics, MSI A520M-A PRO motherboard, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, 500GB M.2 NVMe Gen4 storage, and a Cooler Master MWE 450 V2 (450W, 80+ Bronze) power supply. Given this hardware, will my 450W power supply be sufficient to support the RX 6600 under load, or is that pushing it too far?

I've had a similar experience. With my R5 5500 and RX 6600, the max power usage was about 260W when stressed. So as long as you’re not overclocking, the 450W PSU you have should be sufficient, especially since the specs tend to be conservative.
In my setup with a Ryzen 5 3600 and RX 6700XT, I've been using a 550W PSU for years without issues. The RX 6600 is less demanding, so you shouldn't have any problems with your 450W unit.
You should be totally fine with that setup! The RX 6600 only draws a max of around 100W, so your 450W PSU is actually more than enough for what you're doing. Just make sure your airflow is good in the case to keep things cool, and you’ll be golden!
